The drumming session was absolutely fantastic! It had a way of bringing everyone together, creating a sense of inclusivity and unity. It didn't matter if we had prior experience or not; we all enjoyed ourselves and tapped into the rhythm of the moment.
One valuable lesson I learned during the retreat is the importance of having harmony between my soul, mind, and body. I rediscovered my love for yoga, an activity I had neglected for a long time. Overcoming my initial anxiety, I realized that I can embrace these activities again, and they have brought me a renewed sense of balance. It has given me a fresh perspective on life.
One of the things I enjoyed the most during the retreat was meeting everyone and realizing that I am not alone in my experiences. It was a relief to connect with others who understand the challenges of being a carer. I also appreciated learning new techniques and having moments of laughter and joy. The group activities, such as yoga and outdoor adventures, were particularly enjoyable.
Before I came here, I wasn't in a good place, wasn't at all. I just was broken, and even after the first hour, I just broke down and all my emotions, all my feelings just came out. And after that, being with these people and this group of organizers, I'm just like so, so, so blessed to be here. I am in a much, much better place now, and I can't even believe it. So, big relief, big step out, and I'm so blessed.
I hadn't realized how stressed I was and how heavy everything in my life felt at the time. And now, after two nights and three days of things being about me, and doing some lovely things, and eating some amazing food, and having some activities, I just feel my cup is refilled. And everyone says, "You can't pour from an empty cup," and it seems like just rhetoric, but it's real. I'm ready to go back into my life now, and it'll change, change things, change my life. Thank you.

We had a fantastic experience on our Carer Escape. We enjoyed the flexibility to choose activities which were of interest. We will definitely be back.
The Carer Escapes Retreat felt like I was taking time to re-energise myself as a mum and to learn ways to help myself, like breathing! It was wonderful to meet other carers and to hear their stories and learn from them. The absolute delight of not having to cook and to be pampered with so many treats including a massage was amazing.
This retreat was AMAZING. We will be back!!! I LOVED all the fun activities and it was great to feel like a child again. The best thing was mixing with all the other carers as we all understand the complexities. I will use the breathing and tapping techniques to help deal with stress in my every day life.

When I got here I walked in late I had lost my phone. I was exhausted, tired, could barely move. Just literally burnt out. And how are you feeling now? I feel amazing. I feel so fresh. I feel like I can move I can breathe and I have so much to look forward to going home.
